Brookwood Baptist Medical Center opens new cardiac catheterization laboratory

Brookwood Baptist Medical Center is set to open a brand-new cath lab.

A cath lab is a specialized area in the hospital where doctors perform minimally invasive tests and cardiac procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease.

Brookwood’s new 1,700 square-foot cath lab was a$3.6 million renovation. The medical team has already completed several cases.

“We’re excited to add this new advanced technology to our hospital,” said Brookwood Baptist Medical Center CEO Jeremy Clark. “Investments like these create more opportunities to advance patient care and continue to offer Birmingham patients the high-quality care they’ve come to expect from Brookwood.”
