September is National Recovery Month, and as part of a shared commitment to advocate against Opioid abuse, two MetroWest nurses, Tereza Rodrigues and Erica Paradis, did their part to raise awareness. Both Tereza and Erica recently contributed their own paintings to a local exhibit as a way to show support for opioid recovery and highlight the positive stories of those recovering from addiction.
Framingham Force is the group behind the exhibit where local first responders and citizens in recovery painted pictures from their own creative inspiration.
We are incredibly proud of Tereza and Erica. Their artwork is beautiful and touching, but more importantly, it is a reminder of love and support to reach recovery from addiction.
Erica said, “I am so honored to be a part of this project. I hope that everyone I meet who is touched by substance use disorders feels my compassion. I am looking forward to the awareness this project will bring to the community so that we can overcome this epidemic together.”
