The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus Once Again Earns National ACC HeartCARE Center Designation
The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus in El Paso, Texas, has once again earned the HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence, the highest cardiology designation possible by the American College of Cardiology (ACC). This achievement makes Sierra Campus one of only nine hospitals in the U.S. to achieve and maintain this designation for the seventh consecutive year, and the only hospital in El Paso and the surrounding area to hold this recognition.
Hospitals receiving the HeartCARE Center designation from the ACC have demonstrated their commitment to consistent, high-quality cardiovascular care through comprehensive process improvement, disease and procedure-specific accreditation, professional excellence, and community engagement.
As the cardiovascular epicenter for The Hospitals of Providence, the Sierra Campus continues to expand heart care services for the El Paso region, offering some of the latest in advanced heart care procedures and pulmonary valve replacements. The Sierra Campus offers a comprehensive cardiovascular care program from diagnosis to rehabilitation. A cardio nurse navigator guides patients through their journey, by coordinating healthcare needs and answering questions along the way. The on-site Cardiac Rehabilitation Program helps patients continue their healing after a procedure.
“Our Structural Heart Team is committed to expanding cardiovascular services for our region and this recognition is a true testament to the care they provide,” said David Byrd, Chief Executive Officer for The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus. “We are proud to be leading and advancing the way for cardiovascular services for our region.”
