The Hospitals of Providence Unveils New Perinatal Center

The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, Texas, unveiled The Hospitals of Providence Perinatal Center East, its new center dedicated to caring for mothers experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.

Perinatal services are led by experienced maternal and fetal medicine board-certified physicians and supported by specialized nurses and technicians. The center offers advanced services and screenings, including fetal echocardiogram, nuchal translucency scans and advanced radiology services such as 3D/4D ultrasound and non-invasive fetal screenings, performed by certified sonographers.

“Having a high-risk pregnancy can be a stressful time for any mother, so our goal with this new perinatal center is to offer advanced maternal and fetal care to help ensure both mom and baby are healthy,” said Tasha Hopper, Chief Executive Officer for The Hospitals of Providence East Campus. “Our team is highly trained to care for pregnancies that are at risk for maternal, fetal or obstetrical complications.”

Many pregnant women can experience a high-risk pregnancy due to various medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney problems, autoimmune disorders or high blood pressure. During some pregnancies, the baby may experience medical complications and require additional monitoring by a specialized team.

“We are incredibly proud to continue expanding needed services in East El Paso and look forward to helping families welcome their new little one into the world,” said Hopper. “We want to help expectant mothers experience a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery.”
