Introducing new knee and hip technology in Georgia
Resurgens Surgical Center (Resurgens) has introduced innovative robotics capabilities to serve patients in Georgia, recently having performed its first case using Stryker’s Mako SmartRobotics™.
Mako SmartRobotics™ is an innovative solution for many suffering from painful arthritis of the knee and hips. Mako uses 3D CT-based planning software so surgeons can know more about a patient’s anatomy to create a personalized joint replacement surgical plan. This 3D model is used to preplan and assist surgeons in performing joint replacement procedures.
“We are pleased to offer another innovative solution to improve quality of life for patients who suffer pain caused by arthritis joint degeneration or other issues,” said Anne Liney, Administrator at Resurgens Surgical Center. “The technology is designed to be less invasive and shorten recovery time. It also enables an even more personalized approach for patients, supporting our commitment to improve quality of life for those we serve.”
