Two Tenet CEOs have been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2017 list of 112 Physician Leaders to Know. The list recognizes physicians, who as chief executives, are leading their institutions to become pillars in their communities.
The honorees include Dr. Amy Beiter, CEO of Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Arizona, and Dr. Tony Tedeschi, CEO of Detroit Medical Center (DMC).
Dr. Beiter became CEO of Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital in 2012 after spending more than 20 years as a clinician. Prior to this role, Dr. Beiter served as the hospital's medical director for utilization management and chief medical officer.
As CEO of DMC, Dr. Tedeschi oversees the direction, strategy, and operations for eight hospitals in Detroit. He was also recently appointed Group CEO over Tenet’s hospitals in Illinois and Pennsylvania, in addition to DMC. A family practice physician by training, Dr. Tedeschi maintains clinical instructorship at Chicago-based Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
These leaders bring a special perspective to our business with their clinical knowledge and expertise, and exemplify Tenet’s commitment to its mission of helping people live happier, healthier lives.
