Tenet hospitals in Florida and Texas are expanding options for women diagnosed with breast cancer and facing surgery to treat the disease.
Baptist Health System in San Antonio and Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach have been named Centers of Excellence (COE) for Hidden Scar™ Breast Cancer Surgery, which allows surgeons to remove the cancerous tissue through a single, small incision made in a hidden area, preserving the natural shape of the breast while reducing visible scarring.
The COE designations in this category indicate that a hospital provides women with a comprehensive range of high-quality services, bringing the latest in healthcare options to women in a compassionate and patient-centered way.
“A breast cancer diagnosis is difficult enough,” said Baptist Health System CEO Matt Stone. “This new technology offers surgeons the ability to perform complex, patient-preferred surgeries with greater confidence, while giving women access to transformative care options.”
