Tenet Hospitals Collaborate with Local Sports Teams for a Great Cause - Our Patients

Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Children's Hospital of Michigan recently unveiled thePatients and Staff at DMC Play Zone Ribbon-Cutting RedWings Play Zone. This 1,700-square foot state-of-the art outdoor play area provides a safe and fun escape for patients and visitors.
The Red Wings Play Zone was made possible thanks to a donation by the Red Wings Wish Club, the fundraising arm of the Detroit Red Wings' organization. Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard surprised patients, families and colleagues at the ribbon-cutting ceremony as they tested out the new play area together.

In El Paso, Texas, former Chihuahuas outfielder Travis Jankowski recently surprised patients at The Hospitals of Providence Children's Hospital to play board games and sign baseballs before being called up to the San Diego Padres in late April.

Brookwood Baptist Health’s Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Alabama, reeled in Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) anglers Jay Kendrick, Captain Blake Smith, Joey Cifuentes and Cody Kelley for a hospital visit while they were in town for their 2018 FLW Tour. The anglers brought special giveaways for patients and stayed for autographs. In addition, the FLW presented a donation to the Baptist Health Foundation.
