Audrey Gregory, Ph.D., CEO of Saint Francis Healthcare in Tennessee is passionate about diversity in healthcare. After recruiting more than 50 registered nurses from the Caribbean with a valid work visa to the Memphis market, she made sure they felt at home in their new community.
“Audrey takes a personal interest in the nurses’ successful integration into their new roles, while making sure their entire families receive a warm welcome,” said Leslie Philips, senior director of enterprise recruiting for Tenet. “She feels that diversity is central to the mission of our hospitals.”
For these efforts and more, Audrey has been honored as a Diversity Champion by the Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) for her leadership in diversity in the nursing community and throughout her career.
The Diversity Champion Award recognizes leaders who have made outstanding contributions in leadership and workforce diversity and inclusion, and who have demonstrated commitment to a diverse workforce.
In receiving the Diversity Champions Award from the THA, Audrey added, “I am grateful to be at a place where I can positively impact the lives of patients, families, caregivers and the community.”
