MedPost, CareSpot Urgent Care Centers Expand Access to Convenient, Patient-Friendly Care

Growing Our Business

With the appeal of convenience and usually shorter wait times than emergency rooms, urgent care centers have become popular among patients throughout the country. They are also a vital part of Tenet’s strategy.

MedPost and CareSpot continue to grow, recently opening their 96th location in Royal Oak, Michigan, in collaboration with Tenet’s Detroit Medical Center, on January 22, 2018. Currently there are plans to open eight MedPost locations and three CareSpot centers in 2018.

Alignment with Tenet, United Surgical Partners International (USPI), and joint venture partners has been a priority in the urgent care growth strategy, including regional affiliations with Abrazo Community Health Network in Phoenix, Arizona; The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, Texas; Baptist Health System in San Antonio, Texas; Baptist Health System in Jacksonville, Florida; Orlando Health in Orlando, Florida; and University of Florida Health in Gainesville, Florida.

“From the beginning, our vision has been to ‘Improve how people experience healthcare’ by delivering excellent patient care and outstanding customer service with cutting edge technology,” said Eric Enderle, CEO of CareSpot and MedPost. “As our growth continues, we look forward to expanding access to convenient and affordable same-day care to additional communities across the country.”

Tenet’s urgent care service line initially launched in 2012 and reformulated its branding to MedPost Urgent Care in May 2014 with 23 locations in eight states. In January 2016, MedPost joined forces with CareSpot following Tenet’s purchase of USPI, Tenet’s ambulatory care division comprised of ambulatory surgery, imaging and urgent care centers. Now under common management, MedPost and CareSpot provide convenient, quality care that not only fits into the patient’s schedule, but is also an affordable alternative for non-emergent needs.
