Karima Bentounsi, CEO of Detroit Medical Center’s (DMC) Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, has been named as one of the winners in the prestigious CEO World Awards® Female CEO of the Year Gold winners category. The coveted annual CEO World Awards program encompasses the world’s best in leadership, innovation, organizational performance, new products and services, CEO excellence studies, corporate social responsibility, and milestones from every major industry in the world.
More than 80 judges from a broad spectrum of industry voices from around the world participated and their average scores determined the 2018 award winners.
Bentounsi, MBA, was named CEO of DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in August 2017. She came to DMC from Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where she was CEO. Bentounsi began her career in healthcare at Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago.
