Detroit Medical Center CEO Named to List of 112 Physician Leaders of Hospitals and Health Systems

Anthony Tedeschi, M.D., CEO of Detroit Medical Center (DMC) and group CEO of Tenet’s Michigan and Illinois group, has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2018 list of 112 Physician Leaders of Hospitals and Health Systems.

Dr. Tedeschi has more than 20 years of operational and clinical healthcare leadership experience. Before joining the DMC in 2017, he served as CEO of both the Vanguard Health System’s Chicago market (now Tenet Healthcare) and Chicago-based Weiss Memorial Hospital. He also previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Chicago-based Cook County Health & Hospitals System, the third-largest public health system in the nation. Additionally, Dr. Tedeschi has experience as a clinical instructor at Chicago-based Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and still maintains his board certification as a family practice physician.
