Construction of two new micro-hospitals is underway in Arizona with Abrazo Community Health Network building one in the Phoenix suburb of Mesa, and Carondelet Health Network building one in the Tucson suburb of Marana. Both facilities are slated to open in mid-2019.

Detroit Medical Center’s (DMC) Sinai-Grace Hospital unveiled its newly designed Cancer Infusion Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its one-of-a-kind murals in the waiting room and patient treatment areas. The murals, painted by Michigan-based artists, each feature a plaque honoring their work.

San Ramon Regional Medical Center in San Ramon, California, is now offering 3D mammography (breast tomosynthesis) for breast cancer screening. Breast cancer screening with tomosynthesis, when combined with a conventional 2D mammography, has a 40-percent higher invasive cancer detection rate than conventional 2D mammography alone.

Tenet colleagues across the country wrapped up another successful year of the Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive with more than five million servings of cereal collected and nearly $380,000 in contributions, which includes Tenet’s $100,000 challenge grant. The fifth-annual cereal drive, which ran from June 1-8, benefited Feeding America and more than 100 local food banks and pantries in the communities we serve.

Detroit Medical Center (DMC) and Olympia Development of Michigan recently announced a long-term agreement to create a state-of-the-art sports medicine facility. Built next to Little Caesars Arena, DMC will occupy 50,000 square feet of space in a five-story building built by Olympia, adding new professional jobs and medical services in The District Detroit.
