We operate integrated care delivery networks with 65 acute care and specialty hospitals, as well as other facilities designed to meet evolving patient and community needs. Additional facilities within our hospital operations segment include primary and specialty care clinics, diagnostic imaging centers, micro-hospitals and off-campus emergency departments. Many of our local hospital networks also include facilities operated by United Surgical Partners International, such as ambulatory surgery centers and urgent care centers.
Our hospital networks are located in urban and suburban markets in 9 states. Each facility serves the unique needs of our communities, while delivering high quality care and an exceptional patient experience.
Tenet was a pioneer in the movement toward innovative value-based care delivery. Approximately 90 percent of our hospitals currently participate in at least one value-based program. Tenet is one of the largest participants in the Medicare bundled payment program (BPCI-Advanced) and our value based networks, inclusive of Medicare Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and Clinically Integrated Networks (CINs), cover over 750,000 lives. Tenet’s value-based arrangements are structured to deliver improved quality and safety, and are helping to improve the overall care experience for the patients and communities we serve.
