Ravi Srivastava, M.D. | Chief Psychiatrist
Dr. Srivastava knows the realities that many parents are facing during this pandemic like unemployment, adjusting to homeschooling and worrying about health. As a result, many parents are facing a “burn out.”
Dr. Srivastava recently shared tips for parents with local media station WJCL (ABC), such as keeping a routine and including children in everyday tasks they may not normally do. He also expressed the importance of talking to someone about the impact on your mental health.
“Talking to friends and family, and if you have a doctor or therapist, it's really important. You need to be honest about your feelings with people who care. People you trust. And expressing your frustration, ‘I’m feeling overwhelmed.' Acknowledge that,” Srivastava says.
