Cat Dalberg, RN | Employee Health Nurse
Meet Cat Dalberg who serves as the Employee Health Nurse at the Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Florida.
In this poignant and candid discussion with Cat, she talks about what drew her to nursing.
“I always wanted to be a nurse. And when my mother got sick when I was about 19 or 20, I decided I definitely wanted to go into nursing.”
Cat has been working at Delray Medical Center for 20 years and says, “This is and has been the best job I have ever taken. I love what I do here.”
As the Employee Health Nurse, Cat takes care of all the staff at the hospital. She describes herself as a cheerleader for the staff. She exudes a gentle warmth that makes her fellow team members feel comfortable and at ease.
In Cat’s words, “I like them to know I’m here for them if they need anything…when they’re scared, if they hurt their back…that’s why I’m here.”
She has a few important messages. “Please wear your mask, wash your hands and social distance.”
She also talks about how delay of care can cause many problems and encourages everyone to get the care they need – and that they can feel safe at Delray Medical Center.
As Cat notes, “You guys are doing an amazing job, we are going to beat this!”
