Crystal Dunagan, RN | Intensive Care Unit
Crystal is serving her community from the intensive care unit at the very hospital where she was born. Providing comfort for patients is not only part of her nursing oath, but her passion. She empathizes with her patients who are without their loved ones, and even in instances of end-of-life care, Crystal remains at the bedsides of her patients.
In a recent Daily Mountain Eagle article featuring Crystal, she notes, “[Our patients] are not only scared for themselves, but they’re scared for us. You have to show them that you’re confident and compassionate and that you’re their advocate."
Caring for patients while supporting her two teenage boys amid challenging times takes resilience, yet Crystal says she is “doing what she was called to do."
