The Regional Sr. Director of Patient Care Service will report directly to the VP of PCS and a dotted line reporting to the California RSVP. Position will be based in Dallas with a requirement for travel to the California region as approved by the RSVP and VP. The qualified incumbent will collaborate with other regional Sr. Directors of Patient Care Service in setting Tenet nursing priorities, establishes key metrics and targets, reports progress and supports execution and sustainment of results, ensures high educational/licensure standards are met, leads educational efforts, consults on patient care delivery model improvement opportunities, leads nurse executive talent management and development efforts, and serves as a advocate for high quality patient services.
He/she will advocate and educate the California CNO’s on the importance and influence CNO’s have on Pay for Performance (Core measures, HCAHPS, POA, Never events) and Physician volume building. The Regional Sr. Director of Patient Care Service serves as advisor and consultant to RSVP on opportunities to improve patient care delivery and outcomes, productivity and labor expense management.
He/she will collaborate with RSVP, CNO’s and CEO’s /RHRD’s to establish regional goals, set metrics & targets, and ensure education/licensure requirements are met. Conduct periodic regional CNO meetings and initiates hospital site visits as requested by RSVP, CEO, CNO, etc. Partners with CMO, PMI team, Clinical Quality team, Clinical IT, RDC, RHRD, etc. to improve patient care delivery models, support clinical IT initiatives, improve nurse retention and turnover and to ensure all state and federal regulations are met.
