Tenet's Disaster Preparedness Task Force has developed proven methods to promote patient and employee safety, as well as business continuity during disasters. Key elements of the disaster preparedness program include:
- Training – Tenet trains hospital and corporate personnel how to react in the case of a catastrophic event, and routine disaster drill exercises are performed regularly.
- Reserves– We have a reserve program in place for antiviral medications and personal protective equipment.
- Resources - While each Tenet hospital is responsible for resource planning, Tenet has a resource program that is capable of re-supplying essential necessities such as fuel and generators, water and food, security and transportation.
- Emergency Notification System – Tenet employs state-of-the-art technology to send emergency messages to all Tenet employees or defined sub-sets.
