Mr. Kangas served as Global Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte from 1989 to 2000.  He also served as the Managing Partner of Deloitte & Touche (USA) from 1989 to 1994. He was elected Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Touche Ross in 1985, a position he held through 1989. Mr. Kangas began his career as a staff accountant at Touche Ross in 1967, where he became a partner in 1975.

Mr. Kangas is a director of four other public companies, Eclipsys Corporation, Electronic Data Systems Corporation, Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc., and Intuit, Inc. In addition, he is a board member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and serves as a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development. He is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Directors’ Table.

Mr. Kangas is currently a member of the board of trustees of the University of Kansas Endowment Association and a member of the University of Kansas Business School Board of Advisors.

A certified public accountant, Mr. Kangas holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas.

Mr. Kangas has been a director since April 2003 and was first elected Chairman of the Board in July 2003.
