The Compensation Committee has the authority to establish a general compensation policy for Tenet and has responsibility for the compensation paid to Tenet's directors and executive officers.  The Compensation Committee directly or indirectly administers all of the Company's employee benefit plans, including stock incentive plans, long-term incentive plans, annual incentive plans, deferred compensation plans, qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, stock purchase plans and medical, dental and insurance plans.  The Compensation Committee determine the directors, officers and employees of, and advisors and consultants to, Tenet eligible to participate in any of the plans, the extent of such participation and the terms and conditions under which benefits may be vested, received or exercised.  With respect to Tenet's qualified pension plans, the Compensation Committee is responsible for approving investment policies, reviewing actuarial information concerning the plans and monitoring Tenet's retirement savings plans.  Click here to view the Compensation Committee Charter.
