Versant RN Residency
At many Tenet hospitals, the Versant™ RN Residency helps ease the transition from student to nurse and improves the experience of first-year nurses. The 18-week program better prepares new graduate nurses for their first jobs through training that includes:
-
Instructor-led courses featuring current and emerging clinical guidelines and standards;
-
Clinical preceptors who provide personalized bedside training;
-
Debriefing sessions that offer a forum for exchange among participants;
-
Mentors who provide personal support and career development guidance; and
-
A Web-based tool to monitor participants' progress and track competencies.
Magnet Recognition
In 2009, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children achieved Magnet Recognition from the American Nurse Credentialing Center. This prestigious program recognizes hospitals that provide nursing excellence and have a demonstrated level of quality. Additional Tenet hospitals are working toward achieving this magnet recognition.
