Lake Pointe Medical Center, a part of the Lake Pointe Health Network, is a 112-bed acute care hospital located in Rowlett, Texas. The hospital provides a wide spectrum of medical services, including an emergency department with Fast Track services, a 14-bed intensive care unit, women's services, a Level II and Level III NICU, interventional cardiology, diagnostic imaging, and eight operating rooms.
The hospital holds CIGNA Center of Excellence Designations for Laparoscopic Gall Bladder Removal and Vaginal Delivery. The hospital is designated as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission and a Level IV Trauma Center by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The network also includes –Imaging Centers, a Breast Cancer and Cancer Center, Sleep Centers, Wound Care Center, Urgent Care Center, Cardiac Rehabilitation Center and a Fitness and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center.
The CNO will provide leadership for the nursing and professional staffs of this highly regarded, community-focused hospital to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery in a cost-effective manner. This challenging position requires significant experience in a similar role in an acute care hospital environment. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented, sophisticated professional with experience in driving improved patient and physician satisfaction while managing costs. Qualifications
Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
Academic degree in nursing required (Bachelors or Master’s degree).
Masters degree in Nursing or related field required (Health Administration, Business, Public Health, or management).
5 Years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as an Associate Chief Nursing Officer or Nursing director of multiple, complex nursing departments.
Current CENP or NEA certification preferred.
Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven leadership ability and hospital operational expertise.
Ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
